Forming part of the leading plastic injection moulding facility, IPL Rotherham are recruiting a Bid Manager to lead the bid process from end-to-end. The Role

Reporting into the Business Manager: Environmental, you will be responsible for leading on all bids and tenders, ensuring that these are completed on time and to a high standard to secure contracts for the business. These contracts secure business for IPL so the content accuracy and style of the bids you produce need to be of the highest quality.

This role is integral to the growth of IPL Rotherham and will require you to work very closely with the Commercial, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure all relevant stakeholders are involved in the bid and tender process and all the required technical information is included to form a winning tender response. You will be the lead on the project, so the ability to communicate well, prioritise and plan will all be essential.

This role also gives you a great opportunity to get involved in several exciting and challenging projects both on site in Rotherham and across the other UK sites. What these projects are will depend upon your skills, experience, and ambition, but provides a real opportunity for you to add value and develop yourself personally and professionally.

Location: Barbot Hall Industrial Estate, Mangham Road, Rotherham, S61 4R

Flexible approach to working after initial 3-month office-based induction/training period

Hours: 40 Hours: 8.30am to 4:30pm (with a degree of flexibility) (Monday to Friday) for full time hours. We would also consider part time hours.

Primary Role:

• Applying winning techniques and principles to draft and create winning tenders.
• Full ownership from inception to completion of tenders allocated as lead
• Identify upcoming opportunities through tender sites.
• Review past tenders and identify areas for improvement.
• Conducting research to enhance and innovate current bids.
• Continuous development of the bid library including writing new content, proofing statements, and improving from bid feedback.
• Implementing a contract management process.
• Monitoring inboxes and portals for new tender opportunities as they arise and notifying the team.
• Downloading all tender documents, understanding requirements, and arranging kick off meetings.
• Liaising with customers after award for contracts, meetings, feedback and follow ups.
• Raising and monitoring clarifications.
• Keeping the bid tracker up to date and accurate, providing weekly updates to the team on upcoming/outstanding tenders.

Secondary Role:

· Flexibility to grow and develop yourself in other areas of the business whilst working to your strengths.

· Collaborate across departments internally on projects that would add value the business.

· Identify areas of process improvement within the business and collaborate across departments to implement.

· Supporting the Sales & Marketing teams when required.

Required Skills:

• Familiar with public procurement regulations.
• Creative writing experience.
• 1 years’ + experience content/bid writing.
• English A-Level equivalent or higher.

Salary: dependent on experience

Annual Bonus: up to 5% - linked to KPIs
