Job description
The SAP FI Analyst is a key member of the Corporate GIS Finance Solutions Team. They are responsible for supporting existing solutions, providing solutions to new challenges, and being part of strategic projects in the SAP finance domain.
This person would work closely with our Senior Leadership and corporate Accounting team to take a lead role in maintaining the current systems for Albany International, while simultaneously developing process requirements and driving continuous improvements and new functionality in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
This position will be onsite in our Rochester, NH Headquarters office and requires a US person as we are a government contractor.

- Design, develop, and implement SAP FI solutions, ensuring alignment with corporate financial reporting requirements and goals.
- Design and optimize SAP Cash Management and Liquidity Management modules. Develop strategies to enhance cash visibility, forecasting accuracy, and liquidity risk management.
- Design and implement SAP FI solutions for financial consolidation, ensuring accurate and timely group reporting. Streamline financial close processes and enhance reporting capabilities to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
- Design SAP solutions for treasury operations, including risk management, Tax, debt, and investment management. Implement best practices for financial risk mitigation and compliance with industry regulations
- Collaborate with business units to enhance financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
- Leverage SAP Analytics Cloud to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, providing actionable insights to support decision-making. Integrate SAP Analytics Cloud with SAP FI modules for a comprehensive and dynamic financial reporting environment.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve SAP FI functionalities.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team, ensuring they are proficient in using SAP FI tools. Conduct training sessions to enhance end-users' understanding of system capabilities.
- Stay abreast of SAP FI and SAP Analytics Cloud advancements and industry best practices.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.

Experience/Education/Skills
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Accounting, Finance or Computer Science or information systems.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience as an SAP FI analyst with a focus on Consolidation, Tax, Group Reporting, Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Treasury & Risk Management, and Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Experience in delivering financial planning, reporting, and analysis to senior management to be used for strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Excellent planning, mapping, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills combined with Senior Management interaction and being able to make in-the-moment decisions based on new information.
- Experience with design and implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP BPC for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting will be nice to have.
- An affinity with the Information Technology world, understanding the use cases in SAP.
