Job description
O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting a Estimator for a main contractor in Warrington . Candidates MUST have experience in utilities and infrastructure projects and must have minimum 3 years’ experience in an Estimating/Quantity Surveyor Role.
Role:
- Assisting with the production, strategy, and interfacing between various departmental functions to ensure that tender returns are accurately priced, commercially, and technically detailed.
- Ensuring strict timescales are maintained throughout the tendering process.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals together with fostering the development of future tender success and new Client opportunities
- Supporting the transition between the tender phase to project handover and delivery
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in tendering or quantity surveying, with a civils or utilities background
- Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts, ability to ‘take off’ from design drawings, interpret specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities
- Involvement in the tendering process and the preparation and presentation of detailed tender cost build ups
- Background in the gas sector or CNI / ISS experience would be vastly advantageous.
