Job description

Our client, a leading independent food manufacturer based near Chelmsford, is recruiting an experienced sales representative to join their sales team. The successful candidate will have previous food industry sales experience and will work on building a new customer base to sell their range of products.

The Job:

• Based in their office full time, unless travelling around the UK to meet clients.
• Build a new customer base to sell a full range of products from the catalogue.
• Up-selling products to existing clients.
• Ensuring all orders are logged onto the system.
• Build customer relations through account management.
• Compare past orders with current ones to look for more business opportunities.
• Assist in the launch of new products to new and existing customers.
• Assist the marketing department in building a stronger online presence via social media platforms.
• Use social media to contact new customers and set special offers and leads.
• Be knowledgeable of your product ranges and new market trends to launch in the future.
• Assist with day-to-day activities and general ad hoc duties as they arise.

The Person:

• Experience as a sales representative in the food industry.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Own vehicle.
• Experience in using social media platforms.

This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 8 am-4 pm. Office-based unless out visiting customers.
