Head of Sales & Marketing
We are working with a lovely London Based non-profit Membership Association, who are looking to recruit a Head of Sales & Marketing on a 12-month maternity cover. This is a fabulous role, which will report directly to the Managing Director and will be part of the senior management team. This role will lead a small sales and marketing team, working across both academic journals and books sales, as well as structuring and delivering alternative revenue streams. This position will also have responsibility for the organisation’s digital platforms. This will be a hybrid working role, working from the London office 2 days a week and from home three days a week.
Working across a range of academic books and journals, the Head of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving future-proofing strategy for the business, by forming and driving alternative revenue streams through new Read & Publish deals along with the Key Account Manager. Other responsibilities will include gathering and analysing data on sales and marketing performance and providing leadership within the team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a senior Sales & Marketing role with a background in STM or Academic journals and books. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Open Access, with the ability to complete complex deals. You will be solutions focused, highly organised, with the ability to manage a successful team, therefore strong people management skills are essential. Experience in customer success methodologies would be an advantage, but not essential.
