The Role of Vehicle Mechanic:

As one of our Vehicle Mechanics, you will play an essential part towards the success of the depot. This position entails repairing and servicing vehicles within the workshop. In this role you will work on a range of vehicles using your skills, knowledge and experience. Ideally you will be confident in the following:

• General repairs
• Servicing
• Diagnostics
• Preparing vehicles for mot
• All aspects of tyre fitting
• Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own. We pull together in a busy environment, and like you, we take pride in delivering an excellent service

Are you the right person for this role?

The role of Vehicle Mechanic is a skilled position, therefore the following skills/qualifications and experience are required:

• You will have min of NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Diagnosis, maintenance and repair experience in multi fleet vehicles
• An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues
• Capable of working to and achieving set targets/deadlines.
• High attention to detail and quality of work
• A positive approach
• Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own initiative

The successful candidate must have a valid driving license (less than 3 points)
