Job description
This is a great opportunity for an immediately available Assistant Management Accountant/experienced Accounts Assistant to join a reputable not-for-profit organisation based in Oxford on a temporary PAYE basis to start as soon as possible.

The client is a not-for-profit company who have experienced a period of growth. They are a friendly and welcoming team. The business operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days from home and 3 in the office and are close to public transport links and local amenities.
Description
The Assistant Management Accountant role will be responsible primarily for supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director with the preparation of the annual budget, monthly management accounts and financial statements. Other tasks include:
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing management information with the Head of Finance and budget holders
- Management of the fixed assets register, including depreciation calculations and verification exercises
- Transaction processing, e.g. monthly credit card returns, supporting the Sales and Purchase Ledger Manager as required
Profile
The Assistant Management Accountant will be/have:
- Experience in running finance ledgers (sales, purchase and bank)
- Ability to act quickly and effectively using their own initiative
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, multi-task and remain flexible
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- To be able to work alone and as part of a wider team
- Excellent IT skills, including computerised accounts packages and Microsoft Office - at least to intermediate level in Excel
- Be immediately available
- Live close to location or able to travel by public transport as there is no on-site parking (a bus stop from the city centre is very close by)
