The role involves processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and company credit cards, maintaining accurate ledgers and generating payment proposals across the UK and Republic of Ireland. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will work with a close-knit peer group and receive support from Supervisors and the Head of Transactions. This role is essential to ensure that supplier invoices for goods and services across the UK and ROI businesses are processed and paid accurately.

Processing supplier invoices as part of a 3-way match for Goods for Resale, including using import tools for high volume suppliers
Processing supplier invoices for approval by the cardfactory stakeholder
Processing expense claims and company credit cards
Scanning of documents as part of the processing of transactions
Responsibility for the reconciliation of supplier accounts to statements & housekeeping of ledgers
Supporting with new supplier set ups and changes to supplier master data
Preparation of payment proposals to ensure accurate payment of suppliers to terms
Monitoring of the centralised team mailbox
Resolution of queries from both stakeholders and suppliers
Ad hoc tasks and projects needed as part of the overall deliver to the business of accounts payable
Active participation in team meetings
External suppliers are the main stakeholder
Colleagues across the business look to Accounts Payable to pay accurately and to time, to avoid suppliers contacting them with issues
Finance Colleagues are the main internal stakeholder, including the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for cash flow forecasts
There is opportunity to influence ways of working and process improvements within legal parameters / guidelines
Strong attention to detail and diligence to accuracy
Be self-driven and can work autonomously
Confident, clear and concise in communicating within the team and with stakeholders by telephone/Teams & email
Able to show empathy and compassion towards stakeholder
Agility to adapt to the immediate needs of the business
Keen to learn new skills and develop personally
