Matron

Infusion Unit Service

Full Time-37.5 hours per week

Band 7

You must be a 1stlevel Registered Nurse with significant experience at Band 6 Sister /Charge Nurse level. Ideally you will be educated to a degree level or be working towards a degree. The ENB 998/mentorship level 3 is essential as is an awareness of the current professional, research and practice issues and an understanding of modern human resource management.

To be a professional role model leading and co-ordinating the unit, taking 24-hour responsibility for the management of the ward. This role involves managing a wide range of complex and competing priorities.

To promote and monitor safe and effective practice leading to high quality care. Enhancing patient experience by ensuring that patient needs are placed at the centre of care delivery. Providing effective leadership and management and contributing to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives by maintaining robust budgetary control and levels of activity.
