Engineering Team Leader

3 tier shift Monday – Friday.

Salary £50,000

Lead Engineer – Maintenance Team Leader required to join the team of Maintenance Engineers within a FMCG Environment. The Team leader will have experience in leading and directing a team of maintenance engineers and carry out hands on maintenance to ensure the plant runs smoothly and efficiently and provide full engineering support service to all areas of process and packing.

The Engineering Team Leader will required to:
Manage a team of multi skilled maintenance engineers
Scheduling and prioritising workload’s, self-prioritise work schedule when necessary.
To respond to breakdowns as identified by Engineering or Production Operatives.
To carry out Planned Maintenance and use the site’s Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communicate with Production and Engineers verbally and via CMMS.
Have excellent knowledge of health and safety
Show a proactive approach and find solutions to problems
Identify and order spares to facilitate plant efficiency.
Liaise and work with all other departments to understand site problems.
Maintaining the operational performance of the site’s production machinery.
Identifying continuous improvements.
Manage and monitor Planned Maintenance adherence and recording
Manage and monitor Site Calibrations and keep documentation updated.
Observe all safety procedures and follow good engineering procedures

The successful Engineering Team Leader must be multi skilled with proven experience in both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and ideally have experience within Food & Drink, Packaging, FMCG or Manufacturing environment however other backgrounds will be considered. You will have a completed apprenticeship or hold other industry recognised qualifications such as: NVQ, HNC, HND, BTEC and City & Guilds.

This position would suit; Lead engineer, Senior Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, , Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Team Leader, Electrical Team Leader, Electrical Supervisor.
