Job Description
Reporting to the Service Office Manager, this role will manage our Project Support Team, ensuring PMO services are delivered effectively and efficiently across each of our portfolios.
The primary focus for this role is to ensure PMO services are being delivered to a high standard, that they're consistent and in line with required governance standards and that they are delivered in line with agreed SLAs. From project status reporting, to RAID management & Resource Management a key part of this role is to ensure that projects are following the correct practices to enable adhere to governance standards.
The Project Office Lead works closely with internal customers (Project Managers & Portfolio leads) to ensure that service catalogue excellence is being delivered and that issues and changes are being tracked / resolved. They also work alongside the Programme office to proactively identify gaps & ensure PMO processes are fit for purpose, optimised and aligned with target maturity levels.
The lead will also work to define a recruitment strategy, progression paths and development programme to ensure we are recruiting, retaining and developing our people. They will line manage a team of analysts, oversee development plans.
Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different levels of the organisation from a broad range of contexts plus experience of working in a fast-paced environment with high levels of change.
- Experienced in driving & delivering change & improvements within an organisation; with ability to adapt style and approach to ensure success through organisational awareness.
- Great knowledge of PMO best practice and methodology, with experience with budget control, resource management, change control, RAID management, reporting
- Experience running a project office and controlling the implementation of standards and procedures to promote continuous improvement and ensure consistency
- Line management experience is a plus
