Job description:
As a DevOps Engineer specializing in Green Credit Investment, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to drive sustainable practices
across our operations. Leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of our green investment goals, you will be responsible for
building and maintaining a robust DevOps environment that supports our initiatives. Your role will involve a combination of technical skills
and a deep understanding of our green investment philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- You'll be using various tools to make automation a part of managing infrastructure provisioning, making sure our systems work efficiently and sustainably
- You'll set up and maintain monitoring solutions. This will help us catch and solve environmental and operational issues proactively
- Your job will involve managing CI/CD pipelines. This automation will let us deploy software quickly and reliably for our green investment projects
- You'll be writing and fine-tuning automation scripts. This is all about simplifying routine tasks and cutting down energy usage in our day-to-day operations
- You'll be responsible for the health and performance of databases. Ensuring that data storage and retrieval for analysing green investments is as efficient as possible
- In addition, you'll handle various configurations and settings. This secures compliant access to crucial green investment data
- Supporting green investment applications developed in various languages and frameworks is another key part of your role
- Your work will include implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive green investment data
- To ensure reliability and sustainability right from the start, you'll encourage best practices for our green investment software solutions
- Using cloud services, you'll build and manage green investment infrastructure in a way that can scale up and remains cost-effective
- You'll also integrate APIs and create reports that measure and communicate the environmental impact and progress of our green investments
You are eligible for employment with us if:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on automation and sustainability
- Your proficiency encompasses a wide array of technologies, including Grafana, Bash, Python, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI, CircleCI, Prometheus, and more. This diverse skill set allows you to effectively streamline and optimize processes
- Your experience goes beyond just tools, extending to multiple programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, and C#. This versatility enables you to approach challenges from different angles, choosing the most suitable language for the task at hand
- Your understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT, coupled with your skill in integrating RESTful APIs, highlights your capacity to develop resilient and secure systems.
- While an AWS certification or equivalent cloud infrastructure experience is a plus on your profile, yourholistic view of technology aligns with a broader commitment to environmental sustainability. An understanding of green investment principles will setyou apart, as you're not only focused on technological advancement but also on its ethical implications
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new challenges, making you a dynamic DevOps Engineer who can navigate complex scenarios with ease. Your dedication to automation, sustainability, and continuous improvement makes you a valuable asset in the ever-evolving landscape of technology

Location: Remote
Role type: Contract (outside IR35)
Start date: Immediately
Duration: 5 months initially
Daily rate: £450-£475
