We are currently seeking enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Aviation Training Instructor at Belfast International Airport.
Join us as an Aviation Training Instructor where you will be able to explore a world full of opportunities working here at the Airport. You will be meeting people from all over the world, where you will be part of the most vital part of these passengers' journeys, by making sure they get to their destination safely.
Working as a member of the Belfast Team, you will be responsible train Security Officers to the CAA Ground Security Operatives (GSO) syllabus. You will also be required to train Team Leaders, Supervisors and Duty Managers to the CAA Ground Security Supervisor (GSS) and Aviation Security Manager (ASM) syllabus. The role will require you to monitor, mentor and audit performance, providing the highest level of training and coaching to all levels of security staff.

The Role
Exciting and rewarding, a typical day in the life as an Aviation Training Instructor:
- The development of the DfT training syllabus and to implement measures contained in the CAA Quality Assurance Framework
- To continuously improve the standards and performance of the Security team, with the support of Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Duty Managers in monitoring Security Officers to ensure compliance with all DfT and airport regulations, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer care
- Perform effectively and professionally when delivering all training courses.
- Must have high standards in respect to personal presentation when conducting any training course.
- Delivery of Aviation Security GSO Courses, GSS Courses, ASM Courses, Initial and Recurrent Training, DNXCT, Computer Based Training and GSAT Courses
- Delivery of all security training as required and ensure all certificates associated with this training are supplied to HR files and local Managers as applicable.
- Auditing and monitoring of officers and supervisors' performance
- Assisting with disciplinary procedures
- Assisting with interviews in the recruitment process
- Attending meetings when requested to do so.

- Proven background in security management.
- Thorough knowledge of the NASP and related directives as contained in the mandatory qualification courses.
- Ability to maintain and develop positive working relationships within the organisation and with 3rd parties.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Experience of issue and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work under own initiative, making decisions.
- Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
Essential:
- Certified Instructor Number / Recognition of Competence (CIN / ROC) Numbers
- Teaching Qualification equivalent to Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
- DfT Aviation Security Manager (ASM) Training
- Current RFX Certification
- Formal / Informal Training for Assessment
- Formal / Informal Training for Quality Assurance
- Full Driving Licence
