Square 4 are working with one of the largest global insurers to hire a Compliance Manager for their London team.

Role:
As the Compliance Manager, you will establish a strong and efficient Compliance framework across across all divisions within the business, working collaboratively with the Compliance Team and supporting the Head of Compliance to help enforce controls and contribute in executing the Annual Compliance Plan.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of regulatory returns (including FCA) and maintenance of the regulatory reporting calendar.
- Review and upkeep of compliance policies.
- Horizon scanning reports.
- Staying abreast of PRA and FCA requirements.
- SMCR - encouraging a culture of staff at all levels.
- Assisting business operations with compliance inquiries.
- Overseeing and assisting in the annual review of policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Coordinating with the Head of Compliance to execute the Annual Compliance Plan.
- Compiling compliance monthly reports, board papers, and committee packs.
- Monitoring regulatory and commercial advancements.
- Engaging with other second-line functions such as Risk and the Data Protection Officer.
- Providing counsel on new regulations or regulatory change initiatives.
- Acting as a substitute for the Head of Compliance as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience with managing compliance teams within financial services (preferably insurance).
- Understanding of the UK regulatory environment (specifically the FCA Sourcebook relating to insurance distribution).
- Have the ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within the company.
- Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Location:
England, UK (hybrid working - 2/3 days a week in the office).
Salary:
£80,000 - £85,000 - (12 Month Fixed Term Contract).
