Commissioning Lead – Adult Social Care
South Coast Local Authority
Part time role: 3-4 days week (1 day onsite)
£500-600/day inside IR35
3 months initially to start ASAP
This role will be to support the Adult Social Care team in continue to develop efficient and effective services to meet vulnerable people’s social care needs.
Responsibilities as the Commissioning Lead:
- Deliver effectively across each stage of the commissioning cycle, including creating and implementing a range of commissioning techniques to successfully achieve objectives
- Take the lead on set commissioning work streams and deal with complex issues escalated by seniors officers.
- Apply project management techniques to deliver programmes on time and within budget
- Building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, providers and customers
Essential experience as the Commissioning Lead:
- Have worked on each stage of the commissioning cycle
- Working in contract management, commissioning, and procurement within ASC
- Have a good understanding of the adult social care market, including associated legislation (such as the Care Act 2014 and the Health and Care Act 2022)
- Has demonstrable experience within a local authority setting working at Service Manager or above level
