Environmental Manager
Hinkley Point C
Permanent
£45,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance and benefits
One of our main clients has an urgent requirement for an Environmental Managerto be based at their offices at Hinkley Point C on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a large energy services company who operate within a number of sectors including nuclear, energy, defence and scientific research.
As Environmental Manageryou will be provide leadership on all environmental and sustainability matter, you will manage and maintain the Environmental Management System and the aspects & impacts register.
As Environmental Manager you will carry out environmental investigations, utilising trends to establish continuous improvement. You will carry out the Implementation of Environmental system performance and reporting including regular monthly dashboard preparation with real time KPI’s.
My client would be keen to speak to candidates with the following expertise:
An Environmental Degree/Diploma is desirable.
IEMA Membership or other professional body membership with practical site experience is advantageous, but not essential to this role.
Good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of water pollution, waste management, ecology, soils, and air quality.
Suitable site experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or nuclear industry.
Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
Experienced in delivering and operating at a Leadership Level
Willing to undertake Level 3 Award in Education & Training / PTLLS or equivalent if required.
Understanding of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions.
An investigative mind and a keen eye for detail.
