Position : Paramedic Practitioner
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Contract type: Permanent
My client is seeking a Paramedic Practitioner to join their friendly team in Gloucester, where their single site GP Surgery is based. You will be responsible for providing advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the community, working autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the community, working within the scope of practice of a Paramedic Practitioner
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Prescribing medications and ordering investigations as appropriate
- Providing education and advice to patients and their families on managing their health conditions and preventing future illness
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records using electronic systems
- Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Degree in Paramedic Science or equivalent
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Independent prescribing qualification
- Advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Good IT skills and experience of using electronic patient record systems
