Position: Chef Supervisor

Location: Durham City Centre

About Us: Our client is looking for a dynamic chef to join their team for a minimum of 4 months, with a view to extending. Based in a secure environment, you will be a part of a supervisory chef team of up to 6 , managing up to 30 kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for a government organization
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork
• Create menus adhering to dietary requirements and health standards
• Maintain impeccable kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Monitor inventory and ensure timely ingredient and supply orders
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance recipes
• Adhere to health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Proven chef experience, preferably in a large-scale catering setting
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills
• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Vetting clearance required
• Valid food hygiene and safety certifications
