We areworking with a friendly and inclusive secondary school in the Barnsley area toappoint cover supervisors on an ad-hoc basis. You will be responsible forsupervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuringthat students are engaged and on task with the work set by the teacher. Youwill also assist with other duties such as preparing resources, invigilatingexams, and supporting students with special educational needs.

To besuccessful in this role, you will need to have:

• A good standard of education, preferably with GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
• Experience of working with children or young people of secondary age, preferably in an educational setting in the last two years
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain discipline
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to cover a variety of subjects and year groups
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
