Governance and Remuneration Reporting Senior Manager (2715)

About the team

The Mazars Accounting Technical Services (ATS) department provides technical advice and support to our audit teams, thought leadership internally and externally and some client education. ATS' work on narrative reporting; the front-end of annual reports, is expanding rapidly as a result of clients' and regulators' increasing focus on the area and particularly new requirements for reporting on sustainability.

About the role

• We are seeking corporate reporting experts who will also cover a specialist area of climate-related reporting or remuneration reporting
• Specialist managers and senior managers in the team will be responsible for technical leadership in their particular area as well as more general support on other areas of narrative reporting.
• You will play a key part in its development and increasing breadth and depth of focus in these areas within Mazars.
• The role provides the opportunity to play a key part in the development of the team's service in compliance, driving good practice and integration of front end reporting with assurance.

What are we looking for?

• A good technical understanding of accounting, UK company reporting law and government and FRC guidance on corporate reporting.
• Either
• A strong understanding of the legislative requirements of remuneration reporting for listed companies or
• A strong understanding of requirements and practice for the FCA's rules on reporting by listed companies under the TCFD framework and the climate-related reporting requirements for other companies
• Experience of reviewing or checking written work against detailed technical criteria probably in an accounting firm or in preparing company annual reports
• Experience of designing and delivering bespoke technical training an advantage
• Experience of writing technical publications will be beneficial.
• Qualified as ACA, CA, ACCA or Chartered Company Secretary
