Job description
We are working exclusively with our client, a reputable Midlands based Charity, to recruit an Interim Head of Finance on an initial 6-month basis. There is a possibility that this position could go permanent for the right candidate. This is a flexible hybrid working arrangement with the need to be on site twice a week.
Taking the lead and responsible for the management of the entire finance function, reporting directly into the board. The role requires the post holder to provide a high-quality internal service to the organisation to support the decision making of senior managers and directors.
The main focus of the role will include but not be limited to:
Manage the Finance Team to deliver high quality and timely management information
Work with auditors, the Finance team and Management to deliver a successful 2024 audit
Maintain and improve financial controls
Prepare papers for, and attend Finance committee and Board, and support Trustees with information that they require
Support the CEO with financial evaluation and insights for decision making
Reviewing payroll and payment runs
Preparation of management information and supporting grant applications
The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills and possess strong leadership skills maximising and driving team performance. They will have a strong track record of providing high quality advice to both finance and non-finance heads and experience of working in the NFP/Charity sector.
