Prospectus is proud to be partnering with an inspiring organisation, based in Manchester, that provides opportunities for young people and adults to create better futures and reach their full potential. As part of a new service offering that aims to improve outcomes for those impacted and affected by domestic abuse, they are now recruiting for a temporary Domestic Abuse Caseworker, to join their team, initially for 1 month, with the potential of extension.
In this role, you will provide information, education, awareness, and support as part of early help and prevention for victims/survivors, as well as longer term emotional and practical support, community outreach, weekly surgeries, drop-in advice, information and 1:1 support including referral on to specialist agencies. You will also support targeted group work/drop in’s covering issues such as post separation contact, understanding the types and stages of abuse, honour-based violence, FGM, BAME, parents, LGBTQ+ service users.
To be considered for this role, you will have an understanding of the needs and challenges facing individuals with personal experience of domestic abuse, as well as experience of working with those who have multiple and complex needs and knowledge of support services available to adults and families. You will also have experience of delivering holistic interventions, advocacy, asset-based 1:1 key-working, group-work sessions and programmes and multi-agency partnership working.
Please note, this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, 2-3 days on site and the remaining work from home. You will be required to undergo an Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS check and please only apply if you are available to start asap or have no more than a 1 week notice period.
