Year 8 Tutor - Southport

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an experienced tutor or teacher to provide 1:1 support to a Year 8 student.

The successful candidate should be able to offer 2 hours of support per week, preferably on a Wednesday morning. The student requires assistance across core subjects.

The support would take place in the school that the student attends.

Working as a Tutor through Prospero, you will be a vital part of student development and so the ideal candidate will have a patient and empathetic attitude.

Position details:

• Location - Southport
• Position - Tutor
• Year 8 - Maths and English support
• Duration - Ongoing
• Hours - 2 hours pw, ideally on a Wednesday morning

Experience, Training and Qualification:

• QTS / QTLS / PGCE / EYTS or equivalent
• 2 years experience working in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent Awareness training is desirable but not essential

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
