An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Systems Programme Manager to join the Manufacturing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. To be responsible for the development, leadership and operation of the Delivery Model for the IT Systems (MRP/ERP/MES etc) programme for UK Manufacturing, e.g. targets; deliverables identification; resources and organisation required; schedule development; governance proposals; reporting etc. This is to ensure a successful systems implementation in support of the UK Manufacturing capability stand up.
Job role:
- Customer Relationship
- Establish, maintain and manage strong working relationship with stakeholders at all levels
- Primary contact to interface with group business systems/ enterprise transformation
- Ensure that any relationship threatening decisions, whether technical, operational, commercial or affecting programme delivery, are communicated to the Launch Manager or Executive Sponsor with a proposed solution
- Project / Programme Define the model to deliver the Manufacturing Systems programme, e.g.:
- Confirm Systems delivery requirements and integration.
- Define deliverables.
- Ensure alignment with UK Manufacturing master schedule and programme.
- Define team, resources, process, schedule, dependencies, requirements, governance and reporting.
- Manage budget, cost control and change management.
- Identify and manage delivery of any required training content and plan.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive the team/programme to deliver the outcome required.
- Process
- Follow the WAE New Product Creation System to realise programme delivery and identify areas of improvement
- Identify areas of change to work scope and control via change management
- General
- Represent and promote the WAE brand & values
- Provide event support when and if requested including travel nationally or internationally
- Attend annual Performance Management and Review Meetings and agree annual objectives and a Personal Development Plan (PDP)
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, in all aspects of this position
You’ll have:
- Professional and academic qualifications or relevant experience operating in this type of role and at this level
- Demonstrable experience of delivering IT/Systems programmes in a Manufacturing environment
- Programme management experience and capability
- Ability to work well within a team, build effective relationships, provide clear communication and escalation, delivery focussed, ability to cope with uncertainty and change.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including project
