Your new school
This fantastic Primary School based in Wolverhampton is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them in April. Receiving a "GOOD" in their last Ofsted report, this school wants their children to leave literate, numerate and with a well-developed sense of who they are, what they can be and how they fit into the wider community.
Your new role
In this role you will be supporting a Year 1 class. You will be working Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm each day working closely with the lower, lower-ability children and children with additional needs in Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics. You will be taking out small groups of children to provide reading and writing intervention sessions and supporting the teacher in the classroom.
Strong communication skills and a dedication to student academic progress are essential for success in this role. You will also work alongside the classroom teacher to foster engagement, plan activities, and provide support as needed.
What you'll need to succeed

• You should have experience in a classroom setting in the last 2 years.
• Must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• You will be required to have experience working with Reception and KS1.
• You will need strong communication skills, especially when working with groups of children, and 1:1
