Reporting to: Transport Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: uplift drivers
Salary: £27'300.00
The Role
We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and highly motivated individual to join our team as ‘Uplift & Planner Team Member’. This is an exciting new dual role working within the Transport department, which forms an integral part of the wider BikePark team.
You must be a qualified PSV driver to be considered for this role.
When driving, you will be responsible for transporting customers & their bikes to the summit of BikePark Wales as part of our uplift service, ensuring that all procedures are followed on a daily basis. As the supervisor you will be the senior driver on duty and work with the uplift operations manager to ensure the uplift service delivers inline with expected standards.
In other areas of your supervisor role you will be integral in keeping our fleet of Transit Minibuses and drivers operational. You will assist the TM in administrative duties, such as creating and managing the driver rotas, HR & HS documentation, training, administrating the fitter team’s maintenance job sheets, PMI documents, using a suite of IT & hardcopy systems. Working with the Transport Manager to ensure compliance to our governing bodies, such as the Traffic Commissioner.
This is a multifaceted role that will allow the right individual to flourish within BikePark Wales.
You will share your passion, ideas and suggestions with your team and work together to keep BikePark transport service world class!
As part of your BPW development, you will learn the detailed skills required to be successful in this role, as well as training and development within the Transport department, assisting you in keeping your CPC upto date. For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to progress within your career to complete your Transport Managers course.
Individuals must be able to work outdoors in, at times, challenging conditions.
The Uplift & Planner Team Member must be a strong team player yet remain self-motivated and able to work productively with limited supervision.
Weekend work is essential for this role. During school holidays and weekends you will predominately drive with the team, then return to a split of 2 days driving and 3 days conducting planner duties.
Duties and Responsibilities to include:
Transport pre-paid customers to the top of the Mountain Bike Trail network on rotation.
Ensure Minibus and trailer are in full working order at beginning of shift, including a visual walk around inspection and mechanical inspections as part of the daily defect checks
Report any vehicular mechanical issues with BikePark Wales’s Transport Manager
Ensure that the minibuses and trailers are clean and tidy and maintain an excellent Company image
Showing excellent awareness of health and safety throughout all aspects of work, communicating to supervisors or managers if any H&S concerns are identified and require action or attention.
Following Safe working Practices, Risk assessments and Method statements and instructions from senior team members and utilising PPE at all times when performing work
Working as part of the team with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Being willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge via internal and external training and courses. Also, by means of toolbox talks, SOPs and discussions
Providing first aid and supporting the first aid team in dealing with incidents when required including when providing duty cover due to adverse weather on weekends
Be willing to engage with our visitors, offering assistance when needed and delivering an exceptional standard of customer service
To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
To co-operate with relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post.
To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with the Company’s equal opportunities policies.

Essential Qualifications:
Full British Driving Licence qualified to either D1, D1E, D, DE (no 101 restriction),
PSV CPC
Digi tacho driver card
Key Skills:
A keen interest in BikePark Wales.
Minimum 1 year experience in a transport supervision role
A good understanding of O Licence compliance
A positive ‘can do’ attitude
Highly organised and be administratively competent
Solid working understanding of MS Office Sharp problem-solving skills,
Willingness to learn and complete internal and external training courses
Over 21 Years old for insurance purposes
Desirable skills:
Previous experience of working as a passenger driver
Comfortable working with members of the public
Familiar with using a digital tachograph
Ability to communicate in the Welsh language
Enhanced DBS certificate
Emergency outdoor First Aid qualifications
