What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will be carrying out daily duties, such as:

• Yard preparation
• Mucking out
• Haying up feeding
• Exercising
• Being a part of the "breaking of horses"
• Assisting with Vet visits
• Involvement in the breeding and care and production of Grand Prix showjumping horses

This position may require the successful candidate to attend shows, so applicants must be willing to travel. 

The training you will be getting

• Equine Groom Level 2
• Functional skills in maths and English (if required) 

All training will take place at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and carried out by Haddon Training. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Attending shows and possibly opportunities to compete internationally and nationally in the future, should you achieve a sufficient level of riding competence. A senior Groom apprenticeship could be offered on the successful completion of your L2 Equine Groom apprenticeship and/or permanent employment.
