Maintenance Engineer
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge?
Yolk Recruitment are working with a local manufacturer who is on a mission to create tasty food that's better for people and the planet, and they need your expertise to help them achieve it.
This is what you'll be doing. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing multi-skilled engineering support to the production stream, working as part of the engineering team. You'll be responsible for providing a comprehensive maintenance function covering plant, equipment and auxiliary services.

What's more, you'll be working as part of an experienced team on shift, with a factory footprint of 6 acres, every day is different. You'll have a wide range of machinery to work on, including a new fully automated line which includes pick and place robots.
To be successful in this role, - You'll need to have a Time Served Multi-Skilled Technician Apprenticeship or Electrical/Mechanical Apprenticeship with additional recognised training.
- You'll also need a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (Electrical and Mechanical) or Level 3 BTEC in Engineering, ONC or HNC in Engineering or City & Guilds in Engineering.
- You'll need to have proficient written, numerical and verbal skills, as well as proficiency and fluency of English language (oral and written).
- You should be able to demonstrate good computer competency in MS Office and any CMMS systems.
- Strong competence in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with a bias towards electrical engineering is essential.
- You should also have an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and demonstrate PLC programming and system diagnosis skills.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, computer hardware and software is also required, as well as experience in reading CAD system usage for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
- Behaviourally, you should be team-oriented to enable production and engineering departments to reach targets. You should demonstrate a can-do attitude and job ownership, as well as embrace change, be adaptable and maintain effectiveness in varying environments.
- The ability to learn quickly in a changing environment and demonstrate a logical approach to fault diagnosis.
