East Lane Primary School

Location

Brent, Greater London | United Kingdom

Job description

About East Lane Primary School

East Lane Primary School was opened in April 2017 and in November 2019 was judged ‘Outstanding’ in every category by Ofsted in its first full inspection (Please click  here for the full report). It is housed in a new and purpose-built £14 million building with exceptional resources and is located adjacent to Wembley High. This provides our children with an ‘all-through’ experience of outstanding schools. East Lane Primary School is a 3-form entry school with pupils from Reception to Year 6. Our results to date for Early Years, Phonics, KS1 and KS2 have been amongst the highest in Brent and significantly above the national averages, and we are looking to continue this success as the school moves forward.

What the school offers its staff

All teachers at East Lane receive a comprehensive, structured programme, delivered by highly-trained mentors and bespoke to the individual’s needs. As part of the WMAT, we also have the Teaching School Hub which spans Brent, Barnet and Enfield and is based at WHTC. Teachers can undertake NPQs with us and have the opportunity to develop their experience with an area they would wish to gain further expertise. If you are keen to develop as an outstanding leader or practitioner, then we would love to hear from you.

The Teaching Role

This position is ideal for a secondary practitioner or a primary practitioner who has an in-depth knowledge of the primary science curriculum and beyond. We provide our pupils with aspirational knowledge and require an outstanding teacher to enrich our pupils’ education.

Our curricular structure is different to many other primary schools; the school is based around subjects with specialist teachers providing expert subject knowledge to ensure pupils’ progress is exceptional. Throughout our school, our staff mainly teach their specialist subjects and we believe this allows our pupils to greatly deepen their knowledge and understanding of key areas, fully preparing them for their transition to secondary school. As a Science specialist you will be teaching science across the key stages and will contribute to the planning and delivery of science curriculum across the school. A TLR is also available for the right candidate. Visits to the school are highly encouraged, as are early applications.

For further information about the school, please visit our website at . If you have any questions, queries or would like an informal chat regarding the position, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] .

Wembley Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome all applicants. Early applications are encouraged and the Trust reserves the right to withdraw this post should an appointment be made early.
