Müller Yogurt & Desserts is the UK’s leading yogurt manufacturer which aims to create millions more Müller moments for its customers. It is responsible for major brands like Müller Corner, Müllerlight, Müller Bliss, Müller Rice and FRijj and produces chilled desserts under licence from Mondelez International. It also supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated, state of the art yogurt facility.
Role Details
You will support the Site Operational Excellence Manager and site lead in the implementation of focussed improvement projects across the site. You will provide focussed support to front line operations team: coaching middle & front line manager.
You are likely to be involved in and work on:
- Deliver production improvement and process optimisation project as agreed with the site leadership team. Process improvements are an integral part of this role.
- Understand the causes of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) losses, and use problem solving tools to eliminate problems & implement standards within production.
- This is a practical role, working within the factory to problem solve and identify problems. E.g. Develop robust reporting for material losses and identify the biggest material loss drivers for the site.
- Support production teams by leading on a number of improvement projects to address material losses.
- Use technical ability to train operators on process optimisation processes such as statistical process control, CIP optimisation, FMEA.
- Theoretical training will help you to be able to contribute towards optimum line efficiency.
- Take part in a group project with all placement students.
Who Can Apply?
Müller are looking for confident and technical second year students who are required to undertake a placement year as part of their studies and are on track for a 2:1 degree qualification or above.

- Data analysis skills are crucial to transform numbers into relevant information.

- Show strong problem solving skills to anticipate problems & provide solution.
- Show basic knowledge & interest within the operational excellence area.
You must hold a full UK driver’s licence as some travel is required with these roles and have full unrestricted Right to Work in the UK
