Job Description
As the Senior Strategic Buyer you will work closely with Suppliers and will:
- Negotiate deals and select high performing suppliers that meet cost, quality, delivery, management and technology objectives.
- Create procurement strategies that will draw value for the business.
- Work with the business units to deliver a high performing supply chain.
- Work with Group business services to transact on the businesses behalf.
- Manage any day-to-day tasks working within their brand-new system.
The Successful Applicant
An experienced Buyer with Strategic procurement experience and strong negotiation skills.
- Experience working as a buyer in a regulated or complex industry is required.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with focus on drawing value for the company.
- A proven track record of delivering results. Business and commercial acumen.
- A degree in a relevant field or CIPS qualification - desirable.
- You are motivated, have a can-do attitude and can work in a range of teams.
- Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working. Willingness to learn and be part of a dynamic, diverse team.
- Good planning / project management skills.
