42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

About the Role:
As a Site Manager for Mears you will be working on our domestic retrofit programme within the social housing sector , delivering compliant PAS2035 projects. Providing a stable and profitable contract, you will deliver excellent service and support with our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. You will be responsible for high standards of Site Management activities for Planned Works Programmes to Social Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service, and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
- Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of planned works contracts and all associated staff and ensuring contractual KPI’s are achieved and maintained
- Managing internal and external works to include wall cavity insulation, new windows, doors, storage heaters and roofing to include scaffolding to Houses and working at height
- Manage and monitor work programme progression and completion via ongoing site visits and WIP/Post inspections to ensure works are adequately resourced, being effectively delivered to set quality standards and completed on time and within budget
- Management of employees and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance and adherence to H&S regulations, Mears standard operating procedures & values, quality assurance accreditations, CDM and the company’s commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice and good working practices relevant to all work activities
- Be fundamental in the collection and collation of evidence gathering to ensure we are compliant with funding guidelines and compliant with PAS2035
- Manage costs during the works, provide assistance to ensure final accounts are completed accurately and to budget and information input is timely and accurate in support of this
- Provide good management of employees’ performance, ensuring HR Policies & Procedures are followed
- Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders, this includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety requirements
- Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives, and work instructions at all times and keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies, reporting to your manager where damages occur
- Undertake any other duties as required by the company and attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required
Role Criteria:
- Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit
- First aid at work certificate
- Social housing refurbishment experience
- UK Full Driving License
- Working at heights to include scaffold inspection certificate
- All round technical knowledge of housing improvements
- Managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting of Health & Safety and compliance
- Experience of managing multiple sub-contractors
- Health and Safety management , including COSHH, working at height, Gas Reg 8 and asbestos
- People management with ability to lead and mentor others
- Problem solving and results orientated
- Planning, programming and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- IT literate with confident oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of CDM requirements
- Strong commercial acumen
