Job description
The Roche School a leading independent primary in Wandsworth is looking for a Chartered Librarian with experience of running a school library, preferably in the primary sector. You will manage all aspects of the library service in this pleasant and outstanding school, delivering a service to some 280 pupils and more than 30 staff. The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties, including supervising the work of the library assistant, working with teaching colleagues to develop the collection, liaising with suppliers and other organisations and promoting the effective and efficient use of the library and its resources. We require someone with an excellent attendance record and the physical ability to undertake the necessary tasks. This is a permanent post and you will be working 20 hours per week, spread over three days, during term time only, 35 weeks, with two additional work days at the beginning of every term. The salary for the post will be £15,000 for 20 hours work over 3 days.
