Deputy Headteacher responsible for Behaviour and Attitudes

Ernesford Grange Community Academy

Location

Coventry | United Kingdom

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school focussed on providing the very best quality education to all of our pupils with a staff team who are genuinely warm, kind, and committed to improving the life chances of the young people we serve.

As part of a restructuring of our Senior team, we have created a Deputy Head post which will play a pivotal role in continuing the development of our school culture, driving the character curriculum, and ensuring that we are meeting the personal development needs of our cohort. We have a shared vision that through their schooling, all of our young people will be able to develop the skills, attributes, and characteristics that will enable them to choose their future career pathways. A future that will see them achieve success and happiness.

As Deputy Headteacher leading on Behaviour and Attitudes you will be responsible for overseeing the work of the Assistant Headteachers who currently lead on all aspects of student welfare. Together we will form a collective vision of how we can best meet the needs of our students and staff to develop an even more purposeful learning environment that will enable our teachers and support staff to inspire our wonderful students.

We have a well-established pastoral structure which includes non-teaching House Heads, House Assistants, a well-being team, and SEMH coaches, in addition to this we have a well-staffed inclusion team. We also have an internal alternative provision facility which we are currently developing to support those students who are struggling to access our mainstream curriculum. We are in a very strong position to move forward with our school culture and view this new Deputy Head post as an opportunity to bring new ideas and a fresh approach.

If our vision and values resonate with you and you are excited at the prospect of working in a team that aims for excellence and is passionate about changing the life chances of the children we serve, then come and join us.
