Job description
The role of the SEN Tutor is to deliver high quality alternative teaching and learning on mainly a one to one basis working with pupils that have either Special Educational Needs, Social, Mental and Emotional Health. Delivery will be within identified and agreed location this could be school, pupil’s home or external venue. You will be using creative and varied teaching methods to engage pupils who are out of mainstream education. The role is to help and support with the development and progression of learning and to integrate them back into mainstream/specialist setting. Your role will be to work to develop identified areas of weakness.

The Key Skills you’ll need: - Recent Experience Teaching SEN Students up to KS4
- Be able to reliably travel to several different schools across the city
Additional Skills & Responsibilities - Teach
- Plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning for individual pupils with different needs
- Work from identified teaching areas including SEN
- Teach following the national curriculum as appropriate for the need of the individual
- Use relevant resources and equipment
- Provide feedback to pupils
- Working in a range environments
- Adapting materials and delivery to meet the needs of the learners
- Track and monitor progress
- Assess learning and development for each pupil
- Manage behaviour and dynamics
- Communicate with parents, schools and Local authority
- Understand EHCP

Salary: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
