Overview
A well-established company based in Croydon are looking for an experienced HR manager to join them on a part-time basis.
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 pro rata
Responsibilities
HR Development
- Support the development and implementation of human resource business critical initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness and individual performance
- Review HR systems, ensuring that they continue to support the business and are used effectively
- Support the delivery of management information in relation to HR ensuring that data is accurate and delivered within agreed time-frames
Recruitment
- Manage the recruitment needs of the business ensuring that for each vacancy the appropriate processes are followed, tracked and filled within agreed timeframes and that issues are escalated where necessary
- Oversee and maintain responsibility for controlling temporary employees and contract staff, negotiating rates with agencies to ensure that we obtain value for money and high quality resource
Training & Talent Management
- Deliver training programmes which meet business needs and build on agreed competencies
- Develop a flexible range of delivery methods for learning intervention
- Implementation and delivery of learning & development processes to ensure a full scale learning service to the business to be delivered within agreed budgets
- Maintain effective relationships with external bodies, including industry bodies and training organisations and providers
- Design and deliver training programmes to support implementation of HR initiatives and leadership development
- Support the development of the talent agenda for the organisation, promoting and developing talent framework
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of talent retention plans for top talent
- On request, coach or mentor line managers on all aspect of people management
HR Support
- Ensure that each employee receives induction and that their progress in monitored during their probation period and where required support line management with appropriate exit strategy
- Act as deputy to the MD, providing advice and guidance on HR disciplinary, and employment law issues and manage special projects as requested by HR Senior Management
The Successful Applicant
- Ideally, Bachelor’s degree level education with additional professional qualifications i.e. CIPD
- Commercially aware
- Ability to present effectively and to design and personally deliver programmes of training at all levels
- Knowledge of best practice in learning and talent development, preferably within a senior specialist role
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders
- Good project management skills
