A well known and established Accountancy Practice in Newport is seeking a Senior Accountant Client Manager to join their very successful team. The client offers reduced hours: and great work life balance.

The senior Accountants role has been established because of continued growth a. This role will be offered on a full time, permanent basis to an ACA or ACCA general practice accountant with experience of accounts preparation.

Reporting into the managing partner, and being part of the management team, the Senior Accountant / Client Manager will be responsible for acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, for arranging and planning work, and for directing and distributing tasks among junior staff. Although it is expected that the Client Manager will retain a hands on approach as well. In time, it is hoped that the right candidate will progress further in the business to take on a more responsibility.

• Preparation of Financial Statements including TB, P&L and Balance Sheet for Limited companies and sole traders
• Prepared accounts from incomplete records and client's software including Sage, Xero and quick books.
• Preparation of corporation tax returns
• VAT Returns completed on both standard and cash accounting schemes
• Preparation of quarterly management accounts/ bank covenants
• Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns dealing with capital gains, self-employment income, employment income, dividends and property income
• Completion of Partnership Accounts and Tax Returns

On offer

Salary to £50,000

33 hour working week with a half day on a Friday
