Job description

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

 

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

 

  Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are. You don’t need to have personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery to get involved.

 

As a Volunteer Admin/Receptionist support with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities

With this role you will be working as part of West Kent Team and based in Maidstone

The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

We are looking for someone that is organised and can multitask and is confident in using Microsoft word and excel.

They will have good communication skills and comfortable/confident to speak to our service users face to face and over the phone.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time, you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You will be making a real difference too.

Volunteers bring a range of skills and experiences that complement the work we do. It also provides an opportunity for individuals to use existing skills to support our services, develop new skills and gain experience in the health and social care sector, specifically substance misuse treatment field.
