Are you passionate about eye care and looking for an exciting opportunity in the West Central London area? We have the perfect role for you! An independent optician practice is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Optical Assistant to join their team.
Job Specifics: Experience: At least six months of experience in an optician practice is preferred.
Pre-screening: Proficiency in pre-screening techniques will be highly valued.
Frame Selection: Collaborate with the existing Dispensing Optician and practice manager in the decision-making process for frame selection.
Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions with precision and accuracy.
Contact Lens Teaching: Utilize your expertise to provide contact lens teaching to patients.
Reception Duties: Assist on reception when required to ensure smooth operations.
Stocktaking: Help with stocktaking as necessary.
Transposition: Accurately transpose prescriptions as part of your role.
We welcome both experienced individuals from independent practices and newly qualified candidates.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills are essential.
Ability to provide effective patient care.
Work harmoniously within our team.
A friendly and reliable nature to enhance the patient experience.
Full training will be provided up to the level required for this high-end independent practice.
Emphasis on continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements.
Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm
Saturday: 10.45am – 4.30pm (shorter working day)
Package on Offer:
Salary: £23,000 – £24,000 based on experience.
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays.
Possibility of future succession.
Potential for the dispensing optician course.
A strong drive and passion for learning and excellent patient care.
Ideally suited to someone with a bubbly and outgoing personality, and bags of energy.
