Business Development Manager - Environmental consultancy
This is a permanent opportunity paying negotiable salary, car allowance plus bonus. This is home based role.
Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to a global environmental consultancy services selling company .They are looking to hire an experienced business development manager to join their team who will be responsible for managing business development activities
Responsibilities:
• Meet personal sales targets as agreed upon with Divisional Operations, alongside achieving monthly activity and performance goals in collaboration with the Operations Director.
• Cultivate and expand a broad network of contacts within the health & safety and sustainability sectors to foster productive relationships and unearth new business prospects.
• Actively pursue potential clients, both new and existing, to showcase the company's services and generate leads.
• Follow up on incoming leads from various sources, including referrals, websites, telephone inquiries, and marketing events like exhibitions and technical forums.
• Collaborate with Operational and technical staff to identify and capitalize on specific sales opportunities, positioning the company as the preferred solution for clients.
• Assist in creating and delivering compelling proposal and tender documents, as well as presentations, to showcase innovative solutions.
• Contribute to all aspects of the strategic sales process, including awareness campaigns, client meetings, and sales materials.
• Ensure a smooth handover to operational colleagues upon securing each sales contract.
• Stay updated on market trends, including client and competitor activities, as well as industry innovations.
• Perform routine administrative tasks promptly, such as adding sales information to the designated portal, completing weekly sales summaries, and monthly overviews, adhering to company policies.
Qualifications:
Degree science or equivalent ( not essential)
Proven experience in working as a business development manager and selling environmental consultancy services
Experience in Environmental Consultancy/Contaminated Land Projects
Ideally have a commercial/QS background also considered of use
Management and Leadership Training & Experience
