Interim Practice Manager - CHRIS - CYP Health

Pay Rate: £34.62 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, plus duty rota
This opening assignment is for 3 months
City: IPSWICH
To act as a catalyst for change working directly alongside children, young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the senior team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and responsive care to service users within the Crisis pathway in line with CQC requirements, NICE guidance, and Best Practice qualities and standards.
Participate in and contribute to the leadership of MDT Reviews and Triage meetings within the service.
Participate in a Management Duty Rota that covers CHRIS operational hours (8-8 Monday to Friday and (as agreed at MDT Reviews) weekends and bank holidays.
Responsible for managing the delivery of effective and high-quality evidence based treatment packages within the Crisis pathway.
Be responsible for the allocation of work to the team as part of then MDT process.
Provide management advice, leadership, supervision and operational management to staff.
Contribute to Appraisal and Personal Development of staff.
In conjunction with the senior clinical team to support the delivery of appropriate clinical training, to ensure the highest standard of evidence based clinical interventions are provide based on care pathway packages.
Demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases.
Oversee the administration and allocation of personal budgets.

Qualifications:

Suitable professional qualification at graduate level or equivalent experience at seasoned professional level in a relevant area of work.
Post graduate professional qualification in specialist area of work, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge:

Demonstrates an expert knowledge of Signs of Safety and an expert practical understanding of and skills in using solution focused approaches of intervention.
Expert knowledge of research in relevant field and proven ability to bring research into practice.
Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance as appropriate to role.
In depth knowledge of associated agencies and their working practices and roles and ability to maintain sustained working relationships.
Demonstrating expert knowledge and application of the early intervention and preventative agenda and ability to motivate colleagues to understand and implement this in practice.
Expert knowledge of the social and emotional factors that affect a child’s capacity to learn and develop.
Understanding the diverse range of needs of clients and backgrounds and advise staff about responding appropriately.
Political Awareness.
Demonstrates awareness of the importance of using plain language and the ability to do so.

Experience:

Relevant experience of working directly with children, young people and their families, as relevant to the specific client groups.
Experience of managing staff.
Experience of assessment and observation of the developmental needs of children.
Experience of working with children and families where there have been Safeguarding concerns.
Experience of working alongside parents who may have mental health, learning or physical disability or sensory impairment.
Experience of group work.
Experience of working with a range of agencies and communities.

Skills & Abilities:

Evidence of leadership skills to negotiate, influence and mediate with a range of audiences, including professional stakeholders, partners and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to appropriately challenge colleagues and partners to ensure the statutory right of the service user.
Ability to supervise individuals, manage and motivate a team.
Proven ability to chair and make constructive contribution to meetings.
Negotiate with a range of stakeholders, settings and contexts to maintain and develop the service.
Ability to effectively use a range of assessment frameworks and advise staff about doing so.
Demonstrative ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures and apply relevant legislation, regulations and guidance to support the development of high-quality practice.
Ability to clarify risks and concerns and focus on solutions to create a climate in which change can happen.
Evidence of ability to analyse data and customer feedback to produce reports for a range of audiences and use to inform service delivery.
