We are actively seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Project Manager to play a pivotal role in providing initial support for a significant Ministry of Defence (MoD) project. This strategic initiative is designed to enhance aircraft capabilities through the introduction of additional airframes, marking a crucial milestone in our commitment to innovation.
As a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO) team, the successful candidate will be entrusted with overseeing projects that go beyond conventional boundaries. Main Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day project management
* Project planning and scheduling
* Coordination of work activities among multifunctional teams
* Monitoring of budget and schedule adherence
* Reporting, both internally and to the customer
* Risk monitoring and control
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
* Project planning and controls
* Earned Value Management
* Project Management experience with the MoD
* Current SC clearance is mandatory
* Understanding of EASA, UK CAA, and UK MAA
* Commercial acumen
Desirable:
* Background in aviation engineering
* Experience with Primavera P6
* Experience with SAP
* Customer-facing roles experience
* Experience in a Pt21 environment
Education, Qualifications, or Training:
Essential:
* Formal project management training at the practitioner level (APMP, Prince 2, etc.)
* Aviation background
* UK driving license
Desirable:
* Formal aviation engineering background (optional)

Additional Requirements:
