Job description

A diverse purchasing role that would be perfectly suited to someone who is looking to step into this area of work.

If you have an excellent attention to detail and are able to efficiently manage a dynamic workload then this could be a great opportunity to utilise those skills.

Equally, if you have 1-2 years purchasing/production planning experience and are looking for a new challenge then this could also be a very good prospect with a well-regarded local employer.

As a Purchasing Administrator you will support and work alongside a team of 6, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Purchasing department.

You will support in a variety of areas, ensuring paperwork is complete, internal systems are up to date and maintain frequent communication with internal teams.

Development is encouraged throughout this business, examples of which can definitely be found within the Purchasing team. They have a fantastic team environment and a wealth of knowledge they are able to share.

The Job – Purchasing Administrator:
• Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the department.
• Support with various administration based tasks; updating production plans, monitoring stock quantities, maintain and update supplier information, etc.
• Update internal database.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and third parties.
• Maintain system administration, compile reports when required.
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure business demands are met and exceeded.
• Learn from colleagues and be willing to take on ad-hoc projects when needed.

The Individual:
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience of following administration processes, either within a purchasing or sales support capacity.
• An understanding of internal stock systems/stock management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to understand priorities and to reorganise tasks in line with moving business requirements.
