This is a three month contract in the first instance. The role involves organisation, administration and support for teaching and assessment in professionalism, portfolio and communication skills on the Medicine course at UCLan. A high degree of organisational skills would be an asset.
Job Purpose:
The postholder will predominantly provide comprehensive support to ensure the successful delivery of portfolio and group teaching sessions across the MSQC (Medical Skills and Quality Care) module in Phase 1 MBBS /MPAS (Years 1 + 2 of the programme). The postholder will further administer and coordinate the portfolio including the e-portfolio of the School of Medicine for Phase 1. This includes liaison with external e-portfolio staff and phase 2 as appropriate and managing the technical side of the e-portfolio.
They will undertake the role of coordinating, administering and organizing the effective delivery and evaluation of group sessions across the School of Medicine MBBS/MPAS Phase 1 MSQC module. This includes planning, timetabling, attendance monitoring and liaising with and supporting internal and external providers and staff.
It also involves support and management of the Professionalism Event Form and Dashboard for Adhoc Worker systems of the School of Medicine. The postholder might also support the coordinating, administering and organizing of the delivery of small group teaching in other School of Medicine courses, particularly the Physician Associate programme, based at Preston Campus, if time allows.
Work Experience
Significant experience of organising, updating and maintaining accurate computerised records and files, particularly spreadsheets.

Experience of working in an environment with a high degree of customer contact, in particular working with students.

Experience of working independently.

Experience of working as part of a team.

Experience with administering meetings, agendas and minute taking

Education/Qualifications

A range of GCSEs or equivalent, including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent experiential learning.

A Level or equivalent qualification.
