Job description

Project Risk Manager

12 month contract

Leeds

Inside IR35 – PAYE or Umbrella

Hybrid working - 3 days office, 2 days home (usually Monday & Friday)

37.5 hours per week

Key responsibilities include

Support Project Managers as the key Risk expert on EPC projects in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

Lead Risk Meetings / Workshops etc, to collect risks from Project team and Product Plant teams in order to build the risk profile.

Data entry into risk register and preliminary risk assessment tool.

Completion of risk assessment and development of appropriate data to establish potential risk level of the project under review

Risk modelling using proprietary software for all projects that quantify risk levels of different aspects of project risk. This requires use of up to 6 models to complete the risk assessment

Coordination with Tendering or Finance teams to finalize Cost and Schedule risk levels.

Drive the Risk Mitigation process to reduce or eliminate the potential for negative impacts, and identify Opportunities for positive impacts, to OSS projects

Present risk assessment results at Tendering Gate Reviews and Regional Project Reviews to create understanding of the risks and potential impacts to the project.

Stakeholders include representative of all Tendering or Project Execution Teams, and Management of Tendering and Project Execution departments

Qualifications / Experience Required:

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Business related course preferred

Experience in Microsoft Office systems

Proven negotiating abilities and business acumen

Strong oral and written communication organisation and presentation skills

Experience of delivering services, as a leader, or part of a team, which contributed towards the business overall.

3+ Years’ experience in Risk Management ideally in the Oil & Gas industry

Experience in similar industries, with understanding of business operations.

Have successfully and actively participated in, or supported Project Teams

Computer literate: Microsoft Office, Pertmaster, @Risk (preferred).
