We are currently working with a renowned residential home in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, seeking a dedicated and qualified Nurse to join their team.
Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and qualified Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care and support to residents within our client's residential home in Bexhill-on-Sea. As a Qualified Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents, while also leading and supervising the care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for residents in accordance with individual care plans and best practices.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Monitoring residents' health and well-being, identifying any changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Providing support and guidance to the care team, including Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants.
- Leading by example in delivering compassionate and person-centered care to residents.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and interventions.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff, adhering to infection control measures and health and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration.
- Previous experience working as a Nurse in a residential care setting or similar environment.
- Experience with syringe driving and PEG feeding is desirable.
- Excellent clinical skills and sound knowledge of nursing best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to effectively lead and supervise a care team.
- Flexibility in working hours, including availability for day and night shifts as required.
- Drivers desirable due to rural location.
