Job description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Sales Manager in Blackpool, overseeing the sales of MG, Peugeot, and Citroen vehicles in a brand new multi-franchise development. Reporting to the General Manager the role will oversee the management of the combined dealership with a focus on the sales side, and will have responsibility for leading, motivating and achieving and exceeding targets.

The new development at our existing Blackpool site will add a further 2 brands to the 4 already represented, creating this opportunity for both personal and professional growth.
This will be a very hands-on role, delivering excellent client journeys and building a team of outstanding client experience specialists.
The ideal candidate will have –
- Credible leadership skills, you will have practical and recent experience of effectively managing, coaching, motivating and developing your teams to ensure that performance standards are evident throughout the department.
- Relevant experience in a sales management role,
- Personal effectiveness, contributing to the team goal and setting the example to the team,
- Full clean current UK driving licence.
- Experience in setting and reviewing financial, volume and operational objectives.
- A positive commitment to deliver the hours required to attain company targets.
- Computer literate (especially Microsoft office)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maximising the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products, you must possess and be able to demonstrate first class selling and marketing skills gained within the motor industry at a high level. Regularly communicate and interact with other managers, team members and Directors to develop the business and Group ethos.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment; ensuring staff comply with Health and Safety requirements.
- Controlling costs in line with departmental and dealership objectives and business plans, you will ensure that profit targets are achieved, margins maintained and expenses controlled, utilising all resources cost effectively. It is therefore essential that you have experience of controlling costs on this scale.
