Job description
We are currently looking for an Inventory Analyst to join a leading energy technology company based in Newcastle. The Inventory Analyst role is temporary for around 6 months, with the potential to go permanent.
The Inventory Analyst, will receive a rate of pay between £17 and £19 per hour. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
The Inventory Analyst shall support the inventory team in achieving and maintaining accurate inventory levels, analysis of variances, development of reconciliations, and reporting.
Critical thinking and issue identifying, solutions proposals and resolutions are core aspects of the role. The ability to respond to continuous change and challenges within a fast-paced environment is essential.
Essential Responsibilities of the Inventory Analyst:
Develop and enhance departmental reporting, trend analysis, and dashboards
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes and see through to implementation
Generate regular reports and provide insights on inventory performance, including turnover rates, stock ageing, and forecasting accuracy.
Support the month end close process by completing various inventory reports and analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan strategies to optimise stock levels.
Train and guide team members on proper inventory management procedures and data entry management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Proficiency in inventory management software/systems and advanced knowledge of Excel
Not required but additional preferred elements:
Basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality
Certifications; APICS Certification
