Job description

Safety Screens Ltd are recruiting for a Warehouse/Workshop Operative Apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship over the duration of 14 months.

Job Details:
Working In our manufacturing facility in Congleton, Cheshire using basic hand tools to manufacture PVC strip curtains & fly/insect screening products for both our UK and Worldwide export customers. Full on the job training will be given so no former knowledge required. The work is varied and also has the opportunity to install the goods you’ve manufactured.
• Interpret, understand and follow customers instructions when assembling aluminium-framed screening products, PVC strip, and any other products the Company sells using common trade associated hand and power tools.
• Interpret, understand and follow customers instructions when cutting up PVC strip curtains.
• Measure accurately and understand metric and imperial measurement.
• Possess the ability to work on your own initiative whilst on occasions be part of a small team.
• Wrap and package finished products to a satisfactory standard.
• Learn the process of booking out materials daily.
• Assist when required in the accurate update of stock control.
• Drive the Company fork lift vehicles (on proof and possession of licence).
• Keep the workplace clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist to keep the canteen area clean and tidy.
• Accurately record and complete in full all paperwork before returning to the main office.

Hours of Work:
MON - FRI 08:00-17:00, 1 hour unpaid lunch, 40 Hours per week
