Job description
The St Austell Brewery Sales Team are recruiting a National Account Manager to join the growing Off Trade Team. This is a critical role within the Off Trade team, taking full P&L responsibility for delivering our ambitious growth plans across a portfolio of Key Retailers. The role will stem across the Craft, Lager & Premium Ale categories. We are looking for a hungry individual that shows passion, energy, and motivation to achieve our ambitious growth agenda.
St Austell Brewery is the best performing brewer in the category, with some of the best performing brands within the Premium Ale & World Lager categories. We expect for you to be able to continue and grow trusted relationships with our key retailers with also a large focus on new business development. You will need to become an expert on your customer’s business and to have strategic responsibility for your accounts. You will need to build customer plans that maximise performance and capture category sales opportunities. You will also need to be able to influence at all levels, both internally & externally.
About You
Full P&L responsibility of your customers.
Monthly sales, volume planning and forecasting
Manage credit, overdues, and limit exposure within the agreed guidelines for the responsible accounts.
To manage the accounts based on agreed commercials and take responsibility for the budgets and financial KPl's for all areas of the Off Trade business.
Encourage, work with, and assist marketing with category management initiatives, new product listings, portfolio management and new pack opportunities.
Deliver against targets, which are driven by a clear business plan that caters to both Customer and business priorities.
Devise and implement promotional plans that drive mutual growth.
Work with Category data to support customer objectives.
Develop and drive strong relationships with all customers.
Identify key opportunities with developing accounts and build a plan that delivers mutually beneficial growth.
Brand Ambassador – to be an advocate of the brand.
Ensure the reputation of the St Austell Family Group is always adhered to.
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:
Proven track record and success as an Account Manager within the Alcohol category.
Experience in a similar Account Management role where you can demonstrate a growth mindset and tangible achievements.
Relish the challenge of working in a small team with a high level of responsibility to deliver.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent selling, presentation, negotiation, and account management skills.
A track record of superior customer relationships and building cross functional internal relationships/networks to achieve results.
Experience in FMCG negotiations, structured selling skills and experience in dealing with buyers and other key customer contacts.
Must have excellent commercial awareness and aptitude, with high levels of numeracy.
Category Management experience
Excellent customer service skills and able to act quickly and promptly with all business queries and sales requests.
Fully IT conversant, with high levels of skill in Excel and PowerPoint.
Good understanding of P&L reporting, accounting procedures and cost controls
Strong confident communicator with good influencing and interpersonal skills with a capability to flex style when appropriate.
Valid Driving License
